Refund & Return Policy

This Refund Policy explains how Al Ujrat handles refunds related to Platform Fees and funds held in a Freelancer’s Wallet. This policy is an integral part of our Terms & Conditions.

As Al Ujrat is a facilitation platform where financial transactions for services occur directly between Employers and Freelancers, our refund policy does not cover payments for any work or services rendered.

1. Scope of This Policy

This policy applies exclusively to:

  • Fees paid directly to Al Ujrat for use of the Platform (“Platform Fees”).

  • Funds deposited by Freelancers into their on-platform Wallet.

2. Non-Refundable Platform Fees

The vast majority of fees paid to Al Ujrat are for services that are rendered instantly (e.g., posting visibility, application submission) and are therefore non-refundable. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Project Posting Fees (paid by Employers)

  • Job Posting Fees (paid by Employers)

  • Job Application Fees (paid by Freelancers)

  • Annual Verification Fees (paid by all Users)

3. Conditional Refund of Project Commission Fee

The 10% commission fee deducted from a Freelancer’s Wallet upon being hired for a project is handled as follows:

  • Refundable Scenario:

    If an Employer cancels a Project after hiring a Freelancer, Al Ujrat will refund the 10% commission fee back to the hired Freelancer’s Wallet.

  • Non-Refundable Scenario:

    If a Freelancer cancels a Project after being hired, the 10% commission fee is forfeited and will not be refunded.

  • Bid Rejection:

    If a Freelancer’s bid is not accepted, the 10% commission amount that was on “Hold” is simply released back into the available balance of the Wallet. This is not a refund, as the fee was never deducted.

4. Freelancer Wallet Withdrawals

Freelancers can request a withdrawal of the available, unused funds from their Wallet at any time.

  • Process:

    All withdrawal requests are handled manually by our team to ensure security and accuracy.

  • Timeline:

    Please allow up to seven (7) business days for the withdrawal to be processed and sent to your designated account.

  • Purpose:

    This withdrawal mechanism is the process for Freelancers to retrieve their deposited money that has not been used for non-refundable Platform Fees.

5. No Refunds for Services Rendered

Al Ujrat is not a party to the financial agreements made between Employers and Freelancers for the completion of work. Therefore, we do not process, handle, or mediate any refunds related to:

  • Dissatisfaction with the quality of work.

  • Disputes over payment for services.

  • Any other issue related to the direct contract between the Employer and Freelancer.

Such matters must be resolved directly between the parties involved.

6. Policy Modifications

Al Ujrat reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised policy on the Platform.
