2. The Role of Al Ujrat
-
2.1. A Facilitation Platform:
Al Ujrat is strictly a marketplace that connects Employers and Freelancers. We provide tools for posting opportunities, finding talent, and communicating.
-
2.2. Off-Platform Transactions:
The contractual agreement for any Project or Job is solely between the Employer and the Freelancer. All payments for the actual services rendered are to be arranged and transacted directly between the Employer and the Freelancer outside of the Al Ujrat Platform. Al Ujrat does not process, hold, or escrow payments for services and is not a party to the service contract.
-
2.3. No Guarantees:
We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or outcome of any services provided by Freelancers. Users are responsible for their own due diligence when entering into an agreement.
-
2.4. Content Review:
We reserve the right to review and remove any Project or Job posting that violates our Terms, but we are not obligated to do so. The User posting the content remains solely responsible for it.
3. User Accounts & Verification
-
3.1. Registration:
You must register for an account to use the Platform, specifying your role as either an Employer or a Freelancer.
-
3.2. Verification:
All Users must complete an identity verification process (e.g., CNIC, phone number) to use the Platform’s features. To maintain an active and verified status, all Users are required to pay a non-refundable Annual Verification Fee of PKR 100.
-
3.3. Profile Completion:
Freelancers must complete at least 70% of their profile to be eligible to apply for Jobs.
-
3.4. Account Security:
You are responsible for all activities under your account and must keep your password confidential.

Project Bidding (Commission Fee):
To bid on a Project, a Freelancer must have sufficient funds in their Wallet to cover Al Ujrat’s 10% commission fee, calculated on their total bid amount.

Bid Accepted:
If the Freelancer is hired for the Project, the held amount is formally deducted from the Wallet as Al Ujrat’s final, non-refundable commission.
-
Bid Rejected/Expired:
If the bid is rejected, or another Freelancer is hired, the hold is released, and the funds immediately become available again in the Freelancer’s Wallet.

4.4. Wallet Withdrawals:

No Fees (Currently):
Al Ujrat does not currently charge an administrative fee for withdrawals, nor is there a minimum withdrawal amount. We reserve the right to introduce such conditions in the future with prior notice.

-
6.1. Scope:
Our dispute resolution is strictly limited to on-platform issues, such as the correct application of Platform Fees or verified project cancellations as outlined in Section 5.
-
6.2. No Financial Mediation:
As all payments for services occur directly between Users off-platform, Al Ujrat will not mediate, arbitrate, or resolve any financial disputes related to service payments, quality of work, or project scope. Users are solely responsible for resolving such issues amongst themselves.
7. Limitation of Liability
-
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Al Ujrat shall not be liable for any damages or losses arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to:
-
Any direct agreements, transactions, or payments made between Users outside the Platform.
-
The quality, safety, or legality of services provided by Freelancers.
-
The conduct of any User, whether online or offline.
-
-
Our total liability for any claim related to our Platform services (the fees you pay us) will not exceed the total Platform Fees you paid to Al Ujrat in the six months prior to the claim.
8. Account Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent or illegal activity, or harm the integrity of the Platform or its Users.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Any legal proceedings shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Okara, Punjab, Pakistan.
10. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes. Your continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
